At Cashzone Check Cashing Corporation (CashZone) we believe the responsible use and protection of our customers' confidential (nonpublic personal) information is one of our fundamental responsibilities. While gathering information enables us to provide superior products and services, our most valuable asset is our customers' trust. To help you better understand how your personal information is protected at CashZone we are providing you with the following information about what information we gather and how we use it.
Information We Collect
"Nonpublic personal information" means information about you that we collect in connection with providing a financial product or service to you. We collect, retain and use nonpublic personal information about you as allowed by law. We may collect nonpublic personal information from sources such as:
• Information submitted by you to us on applications.
• Transactions you conduct with us and our affiliates.
• Transactions you conduct with nonaffiliated third parties.
The Information We Share
We may share nonpublic personal information about you with companies related to us by common control or ownership (affiliates) and, as permitted by law, with third parties that are not our
affiliates (nonaffiliated third parties).
We may share information with nonaffiliated third parties with which we have contracted under strict confidentiality agreements. We may disclose nonpublic financial information to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing arrangements (such as service providers). The type of information we may disclose:
• Information we receive from you on applications.
• Information about your transactions with us.
In addition we may disclose nonpublic personal information about you to nonaffiliated third parties in other circumstances as permitted by law, such as third party vendors that assist us in servicing your CashZone® Prepaid Visa® Card to government entities in response to subpoenas, and to credit bureaus.
We do not share or sell customer information to non affiliated third parties in order to market their own products or services.
Nonpublic Information and Former Customers
If you decide to close your CashZone Prepaid Visa Card or become an inactive customer we will follow the privacy policies as described in this notice.
Confidentiality, Security and Integrity of Your Nonpublic Personal Information
We restrict access to nonpublic information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products and services to you, and we educate our employees about the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard you nonpublic personal information.
